Within the framework of Creativity Week taking place on 26-30 April, the Grammar School of Nordic Languages will organise a range of creative workshops on 29 April, in order to promote creative approach in language teaching.
7-12th grade students and teachers are most welcome to attend a workshop hosted by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia, where they can test their knowledge about the entire Nordic region and its versatile culture .
Other workshops will focus on the following languages: English, Belarussian, Danish, French, Estonian, Hebrew, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Finnish, Spanish, Ukrainian, German, Swedish and Latin.The event is organised by the Ministry of Education and Science in collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia, the British Council in Latvia, the Goethe Institute, the Danish Culture Institute and the Grammar School of Nordic Languages.
The Creativity Week aims:
- to examine and strengthen linkages among creativity, education and sustainable development of the Baltics in the globalising world;
- to encourage building new creative partnerships for setting down a solid platform of support for creativity and creative talents from the grassroots to the international level;
- to mark and celebrate the Global Education for All Week in Latvia.
